It’s a new year! A New Year! A whole twelve months to do something different. New: Not existing before; introduced, or discovered recently. Already existing but seen, experienced, or acquired recently or now for the first time.
I’m ready for something “new”, how about you? I told my husband I want this year to be better than last year. Not that I have any complaints about the past year, it has been great! But I, ME, I want to be better. In every way, physical, mental, & spiritual. I NEED it to be new. I want there to be change. Now don’t get me wrong, our life is so good that I don’t want it to be a drastic, oh my gosh no! kind of change. But I want my life to reflect power in God. The peace that passes understanding, you know when things are being shaken, there is still God’s peace. I want to experience a Real move of God. You know people actually and truly surrendering to God through the power of salvation. Lives really being changed when they say I am a Christian. A new experience for this day an age. Where the lost go to the altar and weep before the Lord because they know they are a sinner who needs a savior, not just a raise your hand and repeat this prayer and you’re saved.
I want … no, I need a new! A new year! 365 days to do something different than I did last year. I want a new experience with God. I can’t live on a 25 year ago experience, not even on yesterdays. I want a new experience every day with God. I want a new me. One who cares for others more and less about what others think. A new healthy body. Toned and in shape so I have more confidence in myself and feel better each day. I want the testimony of being healthy, no sickness or disease.
Jesus said, “Behold I make all things new.”
What do you need to be new in your life? A new perspective on life? A new job? New vision? Direction?
My plan this year is to do more praying & listening so that I can get clear direction on my “new” life. Change starts with me and with you. We have to make the initiative to make things different in our lives. If we want health we eat right, exercise, and get plenty of rest. If we want more of God, we pray, fast, and study His Word. If we want a cleaner, more organized home, we make a schedule and stick to it. This new year starts with us. You and me. We make things happen. Good or bad, for the most part we are in control.
Let’s put down the phones, ipads, and all electronics and do and be something new and different this year.
Out with the old and in with the new!
We’ve got this!
Be blessed my friends!
