Ephesians 3: vs 1-7
Paul is bound to Christ for the purpose of preaching to the Gentiles and so God made Paul an apostle or Steward over the Gentiles. God knew that He could trust Paul to preach and teach the truth of His word to the Gentiles, the ones that no one wanted to be associated with. God took things hidden to the prophets in generations past and is now revealing them to Paul, the power of Salvation to all.
v.3 Revelation: Revealing from God of things before unknown. Mystery: Long hidden & first revealed in later times.
Paul is humbled and sees himself unworthy to minister the truth of Jesus Christ. He who murdered Christians thinking he was doing God a favor, now is called and anointed with power to preach grace to the undeserving. God is even making known to the powers of darkness His great wisdom through the church. Vs 12-rd- We can go boldly before God, to pray bold, confident prayers and not only that, but have the faith to believe that what we pray for will be answered by God. We have access to the Almighty!
Paul is saying this is why I bow to God. He has made us all one in Jesus Christ. We are no longer Jew or Gentile, we are one, we are Christians. In verse 18 Paul is basically saying We need to understand the fullness of God’s love, the extravagant dimensions of His love. He doesn’t love like we do, He loves beyond our understanding. Vs 19 to know- To receive knowledge of the love of Christ is beyond what we can fully understand. To die for people who hate Him in order to give them a chance of eternity with Him.
When we come into the unity of Christ, His power working in us is unlimited and far beyond our comprehension.
Study the word for yourself and see what god will reveal to you.
